MOU SIGNING CEREMONY AND WORLD IAC TAIWAN SEMINAR: A NEW STEP FOR TAIWAN'S CULINARY AND BAKERY INDUSTRY
On August 20, 2025, at Taipei City University of Science and Technology, a special event was held with the participation of many renowned chefs from WORLD IAC Taiwan and WORLD IAC ASIA. The seminar was led by master baker Hsu Chuan-Wei, who shared his unique techniques and impressive bread creations, sparking curiosity and excitement among attendees.
A New Beginning for Taiwan's Culinary and Bakery Industry
This event is more than just a networking gathering; it marks the start of growth and development in Taiwan's culinary and bakery industry. Mr. Ho Tran Hung, President of WORLD IAC Taiwan, expressed his enthusiasm and commitment to advancing this industry, creating new opportunities for chefs and students in the culinary field. Additionally, he acts as a bridge for WORLD IAC to expand and better support the community.
Representatives from Taipei City University of Science and Technology, including instructors from the Department of Food and Beverage Management, also participated, adding value to the sharing session. Combining theory with practical experience provided participants with valuable insights, ensuring they gained useful knowledge.

Signing the Memorandum of Understanding: Valued Cooperation
At the conclusion of the event, a certificate from WORLD IAC ASIA was presented to the participating chefs from the university. More importantly, the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding between the university and WORLD IAC ASIA took place, beginning a new chapter in their partnership.
Representing the university, Dean Professor Hsiao Ching Ya and Master Chef Chen Le Thanh Thien, President of WORLD IAC ASIA, reaffirmed their dedication to supporting students, contributing to the development of WORLD IAC Taiwan, and guiding students toward greater achievements. This commitment fosters confidence and optimism about the future of Taiwanese cuisine.

Creative Training and Development
The agreement also emphasizes training and creative development for Taiwanese culinary and bakery students, especially in the European labor market and member countries. This initiative aims to expand career opportunities and strengthen the international reputation of Taiwanese cuisine.
Additionally, the MOU outlines plans to involve contestants and judges in the Asian Bakery and Confectionery Competition 2026, scheduled to be held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, in April 2026, organized by WORLD IAC ASIA.

The signing and exchange of this MOU are important events that demonstrate strong collaboration between organizations and educational institutions, focused on advancing culinary training and development globally. With ongoing efforts from all involved, Taiwanese cuisine is set to continue its growth and leave a lasting impression on diners worldwide.
